We have been getting a lot more dogs recently. It's sadly pretty much the same in most of the rescues I volunteer with. People go on vacation, move or just don't feel like taking care of their friend when summer arrives. "Oh!, I need to get rid of Coco because I can't go on vacation with my family because I would need to pay for him to stay in a pension for a week. I should have known that a dog cost money and takes time to take care of BEFORE buying one at the pet store or from that breeder. Well Animatch will take care of my problem!"

I have 4 dogs. I would sell my house and move if I was told that I had to get rid of one of them. I made a decision to adopt these dogs and I'll stick to my decision for their entire life. This last week again, 2 of them cost me 1500$ in medical bills and I'm not talking about the time spent driving and waiting at the vet either.

I don't care. Because they give it back to me in affection and friendship a thousand times every day.

Right now Animatch is way over capacity. So we have to refuse more than 2-3 dogs everyday. Those 2-3 dogs will eventually end up in a much different place than Animatch. A place where they don't have much of a chance to see the end of the month.

Please ADOPT if you KNOW you can handle a dog for the rest of it's life.
